About the Role

We are looking for a talented and driven Product Designer to join our team on the ground in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, embedded directly within our client’s office. In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping digital banking experiences for one of the region’s most prominent financial institutions, designing intuitive, compliant, and culturally resonant mobile-first products that serve millions of users across the Kingdom.

You will work at the intersection of user experience, compliance, and innovation, translating SAMA’s Consumer Protection Framework (CPF) regulations into elegant design solutions that meet regulatory standards without sacrificing usability. This is an immediate, 1-year contract engagement requiring someone who can hit the ground running and make a meaningful impact from day one.

What you do
  • Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for mobile banking applications, ensuring seamless experiences across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Apply deep knowledge of SAMA’s CPF regulations to design workflows and product features that meet compliance requirements without compromising usability.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, compliance teams, and other stakeholders to translate regulatory and business requirements into elegant design solutions.
  • Develop interactive prototypes to validate design concepts and iterate based on user feedback and compliance reviews.
  • Craft visually appealing, on-brand designs in alignment with the client’s guidelines and Saudi cultural expectations.
  • Conduct usability testing sessions to gather insights and refine designs, ensuring high standards of accessibility and regulatory compliance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including wireframes, user flows, and design specifications.
  • Stay informed about SAMA regulatory updates and banking design trends, incorporating relevant insights into the design process proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical constraints, business requirements, and compliance obligations holistically.
  • Effectively communicate design decisions through presentations and documentation, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs, present design solutions, and incorporate feedback to ensure client satisfaction.

  • You have hands-on experience designing for mobile banking applications, understanding the unique UX challenges and opportunities of digital finance products.
  • You are well-versed in CPF (Consumer Protection Framework) regulations as defined by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), ensuring your designs are fully compliant.
  • You thrive in collaborative environments, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into impactful design solutions.
  • You possess a creative and innovative mindset, constantly seeking new ways to enhance digital banking products and improve user interactions.
  • You have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and are dedicated to ensuring end-user needs are at the forefront of every design decision.
  • You excel at creating interactive prototypes and iterating designs based on user feedback and regulatory requirements.
  • You stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging fintech technologies, and design best practices.
  • Arabic language proficiency is preferred, enabling effective collaboration with local stakeholders and culturally sensitive design for the Saudi market.
  • 6–7 years of relevant experience in UX/UI design, with a significant portion in mobile banking or fintech applications.
  • Proven experience designing mobile banking or financial services products, with a portfolio that demonstrates measurable UX improvements.
  • Deep understanding of SAMA’s Consumer Protection Framework (CPF) regulations and their practical implications for product design.
  • Strong understanding of UI design patterns and mobile-specific UX considerations (iOS/Android guidelines, responsive design, accessibility standards).
  • Expertise in industry-standard design tools including Figma, Adobe Suite (PS, AI, XD), Sketch, Abstract, and other visual design tools.
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating findings into design improvements within a regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe, Kanban) and their associated ceremonies.
  • Understanding of front-end technologies and their impact on design feasibility and implementation.
  • Arabic language proficiency (spoken and written) is strongly preferred for effective communication with local stakeholders.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing enterprise-level projects, particularly in banking, financial services, or regulated industries.
  • Natural curiosity to understand the ‘why’, with the ability to form a point of view and defend it with evidence.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and eagerness to both learn from and contribute to the broader team, regardless of seniority level.

1-year contract. Immediate start required.
